The Terra Nova Laser Competition 1 Tent is an award winning modern-day classic single person ultra lightweight tent that is under a kilogram making it ideal for backpacking and adventure racers It was awarded the Best in Test Award for One-man tents and Described by Adventure Travel May 2012 Edition as being a seriously light weight tent with a surprising amount of space The Laser Competition 1 keeps its weight to a minimum by using high quality DAC poles and very tiny titanium pegs which is ideal for mountain marathon participants and backpackers The Laser Competition 1 has great ventilation including being able to roll up the flysheet at either end and a half mesh inner door for comfort and offers spacious sleeping and storage areas This one person tent can squeeze a second person in if you are looking for the ultimate in weight reduction Note Due to the super light nature of the material used in the tents construction Terra Nova are unable to factory seal the seams in a conventional method However the seams are positioned and sewn in a way that minimises water penetration and it s possible to add further protection yourself with seam sealer to fully waterproof the tent A free black pole cover tied on is also supplied with the Laser tents to fully waterproof the main seam add stability protect the zip and add extra protection to the most exposed part of the tent to UV damage
