Spend a family day out discovering over 400 years of British naval history at The Historic Dockyard Chatham. There’s so much to see and do with 10 exhibitions to explore, interactive galleries and hands-on sessions to take part in. You’ll be amazed by the three magnificent warships as you walk on the decks, including the Victorian sloop, WW2 Destroyer and Cold War submarine. You’ll soon discover what life was really like on-board! Take part in a hands-on session, where you’ll get to handle objects from the Steam, Steel and Submarines gallery. You won’t want to miss taking a look around the Victorian Ropery, which has been producing rope used by some of the largest vessels at sea, and is the only one of the original four Royal Navy Ropeyards to still be in operation today!
