La Gitana Anniversario is an 800-bottle production, Pasada Pastrana-style wine with an extra three years ageing and it is being released this year to celebrate the 225th anniversary of Bodegas Hidalgo. It is perfect. 20/20 Matthew Jukes. A clear deep gold colour with a green hue. Intense, pungent and powerful on the nose with aromas of chamomile, marzipan, roasted almonds and a divine smokiness. The palate is elegant, silky and creamy. Salty and chalky. A very long and complex finish. Limited stock.
