Symington family properties in the Baixo Corgo sub-region of the Douro Valley where the vines are planted at higher altitudes (therefore cooler) and where the climate is more temperate. Some fruit is also drawn from the Douro Superior and from a small selection of growers in the Cima Corgo area. Wonderfully fresh summer and tropical fruits: peach, apricot and pineapple, which linger pleasurably on the palate. Very crisp and satisfying in the mouth with hints of green apples and lightly herbal nuances, finishing with an attractive citrus acidity - vibrant and appealing. Ideal to accompany shellfish and other fresh seafood, as well as summer salads, or quite simply as a refreshing aperitif, served well chilled. Five months in stainless steel vats in order to preserve all the crisp, zesty freshness of the wine.
