Savoia is a bitter-sweet wine-based aperitivo named after the royal dynasty that led to the unification of Italy. With 20 carefully selected botanicals, including artemesia, bitter orange, gentian root, aloe and rhubarb amongst others, and, unusually combines DOC Marsala Fino for the first time combined with Trebbiano wines as its base. First released in late 2021 by Giuseppe Gallo, famed bartender and the originator of the liqueur, Italicus. Drinking suggestions include a large measure, over ice and topped up with soda to make the classic Americano. Or, add one measure of gin with a large measure of Savoia to make a delicious Negroni, or a large measure, topped up with Prosecco and soda water for a wonderfully refreshing Spritz!
