Our Bizon Grass is harvested in early summer within the Bialowieza forest in Eastern Poland. The grass is harvested in full bloom then dried naturally. The dried grass is spread on screens and then gently heated and washed over with high strength alcohol for several days to \'draw\' out the aromatic essence. The distinctive aroma and natural colour of Davna Bizon is a result of this process. This \'Bison Grass Extract\' is then blended with Polish pure grain vodka until the perfect colour, aroma and taste are achieved. The vodka is then left to rest for several days and is then filtered and bottled at 40% vol, the optimum strength to fully enjoy the character of this unique vodka. Our base vodka is predominately Polish rye grain with the addition of a small quantity of mixed cereals.
