Red cherry, clean and brilliant with a hint of youth on the rim. High density, good colouration, perhaps too much for a young wine. It can be stored for a while. Very intensive wine aroma with alcohol coming through but not over-powering. Toasty wafts and black fruits (blackberry and plums). Faint whiffs of cinnamon and vanilla. On the palate: Maximum fruit expression, blackberry, currants and plums, without sweetness, enveloping, intensely flavoursome in the mouth with a smooth progression.
