In 1929 the Addicks won the Division Three South title. And with it began Charlton\'s most successful period during the 30s, in which the club\'s highest league finishes were recorded. Following the Second World War, the club won the FA Cup in 1947, before a number of lowlights culminated in the stays in the Third Division during the 70s, and the club\'s so-called homeless Wilderness Years of the 1980s. Fortunes changed for the better in the 1990s, with two stays in the Premier League including seven years between 2000 and 2007.
