When the body does not get enough iron, it cannot produce the number of normal red blood cells needed to keep you in good health. These tablets contain two active ingredients: Ferrous Sulphate and Folic Acid. Ferrous Sulphate is a form of iron, and Folic Acid is one of the members of the B vitamin group. Both are essential to a healthy pregnancy, safe delivery, and healthy baby. Both iron and folic acid are needed to help the body produce red blood cells. When the body does not get enough of these nutrients, anaemia can develop. During pregnancy, your need for iron and folic acid increases. This is due to the mother increasing her production of red blood cells to supply the foetus and placenta. Please note that results may vary.
