A collection of letters for children \'who pray for the Lotus Buds and Teddy Bears of Dohnavur\', a Christian orphanage set up in India to take in those small children who would otherwise be sent to Hindu temples. The letters explain the day-to-day life there and some adventures. 1948 second reprint. Condition: Dustjacket very shelfworn, creased, torn, discoloured and marked, also priceclipped; boards shelfworn, corner bumped, rubbed, faded and marked. Inscription to previous owner on FEP, some interior pages creased, discolouration and some marks throughout, but all pages readable and binding intact.
