This is a rare children\'s book from 1883, and it is bound in green cloth boards with an illustrated front cover. There is gold lettering and an illustration on the spine as well. It was written by Selina Gaye, who also contributed to books such as \"Ivy and Oak and Other Stories for Girls\". Condition: there is some general shelf-wear to the covers, in keeping with the book\'s age. There is some moderate denting to the head and tail of the spine. The book\'s edges display some mild marking and discolouration. The ffep has become slightly loose. There is also a previous owner\'s inscription in pen on the ffep. There is some mild rubbing to the interior pages, but in general they are in good condition for their age. The binding is strong in general.
