A study of the Italian city of Vincenza, this 1909 volume offers insights into the city at that time with descriptions of its parks, palaces, monuments and churches. The first section of the book explores Vincenza\'s history, the Vicentine school of painting and the city\'s architectural traditions. There are over 30 illustrations with coloured plates of painted views and black and white photographs of both views and artwork. The book has brown boards with gilt titles on the spine and a gilt illustration to the front. The covers are in a reasonable condition but show small signs of wear and tear. There is some foxing, most noticeably to the edges of the pages; the text and illustrations remain clear. The title page is heavily discoloured. There is an ex-libris sticker and biro written date and place name on the inside front cover.
