
The Happy Exile
Published 1898 with six etchings by E. Philip Pimlott. A book of memories of a Cornish exile living in London in his adulthood. Most of the sketches and studies had previously appeared in The National Observer, Pall Mall Gazette, Black and White, The Speaker, and Chambers. Light brown cloth boards with darker brown on spine. Picture of a sundial on the front, and gold lettering on spine. Cover in good condition for age of book, with just minor wear and bumping at corners, and slight wear top and bottom of spine. Rough cut pages. Binding is firm. The printed pages are mostly free of foxing except on extreme edges. However the etchings are foxed.
