Comprehensive history of the 16th (Service) Battalion of the Northumberland Fusiliers from its creation at the outbreak of war through training to the armistice. The Battalion fought at the Somme and at Ypres. Containing a wealth of detail with many contemporary photographs, first-hand accounts and maps. The Roll of Honour includes biographical detail for many of the men including their location on the 1911 census and, where appropriate, the memorials which commemorate them. There are small tears at the top and bottom of the dust jacket spine and pressure indentations on the front of the jacket. These are only visible in certain lighting conditions.
