Published in 1855 by Gorge Routledge & Co, includes illustrations by Sir John Gilbert, 1817-1897, who was an English illustrator and painter, brown clothed board cover in good condition with bumping and rubbing along the edges including softening of the spine bottom and top. Gilt lettering to the spine and covers visible but faded, gilt edge design to the inside of front and back covers. Gilt page edges. There is marking and foxing to the feps and foxing and smudging on a few pages throughout. The binding in general is in a good condition and intact but it has been shaken (see photos).
