Edward Harry William Meyerstein (1889-1952) was an English writer and Fellow of Magdalen College, Oxford. In this revealing autobiography, not published until after his death, Meyerstein describes his upbringing as the only son of a rich father and possessive mother, his schooling in London, Eastbourne and Harrow, his undergraduate years at Magdalen and his employment in the Department of MSS at the British Museum.
