As repositories of meaning, tellers of stories, symbols of power, and tools of communication, the tiled frontages of houses in the Poblats Marítims and the terracotta reliefs of the Wedgwood Institute ask many questions, and suggest many perspectives: Do the ceramics have some kind of intrinsic value? Who decides this? Have the ceramics themselves made a difference in the recent histories of the two neighbourhoods and the buildings within them? If the ceramics are a force for change, who is driving this change? This book, which comprises both English and Spanish text, addresses these questions from multiple points of view. The corners of the cover are very slightly bumped, but the book is otherwise in excellent condition, showing no signs of wear.
