Late 19th or early 20th century history of the Franco-Prussian war. Volume 1 only (of two). Contains illustrations of participants and armaments and a number of maps including one which is loose in the back. This is a large format book with hardboard and leather covers. The spine was bound in leather but this has become detached although part of it remains inside the cover. The binding is generally tight but the front board is partially detached. The corners are badly bumped and rubbed. Internally the volume is in good conditon.
