The pages are tightly bound together, although the front hinge is splitting. There are some annotations in the text, mainly in pencil but occasionally in colour. A previous owner\'s bookplate is pasted onto fep and his name written on title page and dated 1887; other owner\'s name written on fep and crossed out. Yellow endpapers. Bound in textured black cloth with blind stamped edging, and gilt titles to spine; lightly rubbed with a little wear to spine ends; small mark on back.
