Published 1861 and translated by Andrew R. Scoble.  Green cloth boards with gilt lettering on spine. Embossed pattern on front and back boards, and spine. Boards in very good condition for age of book with bright gilt and only slight scuffing on front and back. Binding in good order. Internally some of the pages have light foxing, but most of the pages don\'t have it, or it is so light to be barely visible. There is annotation to some of the pages, but the majority of this is in pencil - mostly vertical lines in the margin, with a few bits underlined.  Previous owner\'s name in pencil on the half title page.
