Excellent first printing of this relatively scarce book in the \'Modern Combat Aircraft\' series - number 21.  It has a very good jacket, though with a little ruffling along the edges, which catch the light in the photos, but is therefore somewhat exaggerated. Minor rubbing/marks to jacket but overall very good for a 35 year-old copy. The head of the spine is very slightly rubbed down. Blue cloth boards have not very visible discolouration along tops and fore-edges. The tops of the pages are a little  mottled. The text, laid out in double column, is in a clear type on bright pages, and the binding is tight. There are b/w photos throughout the text, and line-drawing diagrams. A colour photo section is at the centre. The publisher\'s blurb says it\'s \'a vigorous study\',  and \'incisive\', and that \'new ground is broken\' with the addition of the book to the series. It has no previous ownership marks.Author is the late Robert F. Dorr, an American expert on military aircraft, who\'s details, and a partial bibliography, may be seen on a \"well-known internet Encyclopedia\". pa-316721
