Published 1960 by H.F. & Ph. F.Reemtsma, the German cigarette makers established in 1931, to commemorate their 50th anniversary. Hardback. Grey cloth board covers.  Grey-blue text on spine. Brown cardboard slipcase - quite badly torn. Grey endpapers. Illustrated throughout with black & white and colour plates. Many fold-out pictures, diagrams and advertisements. Even contains a vinyl, single record.  Some shelf wear and fading/foxing on the spine but otherwise in quite good condition overall. This book is a shameless attempt to promote and glamorise smoking at a time when the dangers of tobacco smoke were becoming increasingly evident. Despite this, it is an interesting example of the methods of the tobacco industry.
