For sale is a late nineteenth century copy of The Songs of England, Volume I, Royal Edition. Published by Boosey & Co, London & New York. Beautiful impressed and gilt decorative cover, in typical late nineteenth century manner. Undated, but circa 1880-1900. One hundred and fourty-four (144) pages. The condition is very good, with some wear and a small tear to the top of the spine, which has faded with age. There is also some fading to the gilding on the cover, and some bumping to the corners. Volume One only. Internally clean and bright with a few minor marks. The page edges are also gilt. The music remains playable and readable.
