The Egypt\'s Gold
FIRST EDITION, SECOND IMPRESSION: Gold coloured cloth cover, somewhat grubby with blue titles on the spine, the corners are not bumped but do show some signs of wear. The spine has some foxing. A former owner\'s name is inscribed in pencil on the fep. Internally the book is clean, bright and tightly bound. It is illustrated with monochrome photographs of the crew and the equipment used. This is the story of the raising of the gold from the P & O liner S.S. Egypt which sank in the Bay of Biscay in 1922 carrying gold and silver on board and is a follow on from a previous book \"Seventy Fathoms Deep\" by the same author. There are some explanatory passages from the earlier book in appendices at the end of this book. This copy is a second impression of the first edition. This impression was published in 1933 by Faber and Faber.
