Alfred Jarry (1873 - 1907) was a French writer mainly known as the creator of the grotesque and wild satirical farce \"Ubu roi\" \"King Ubu\"), a forerunner of the Theatre of the Absurd. This book was produced to accompany an exhibition of the work of a number of his \"naughty children\": Polish artists who during the years following the breakdown of the Soviet Union sought to ridicule the political situation that had existed in their country. The text is in English and German. The cover shows some signs of handling, and there has been slight water damage to the last page. The book is otherwise in good condition, with no markings.
