The Waverley Novels - Volume 12 Kenilworth by Sir Walter Scott. Published by The Gresham Publishing Company, London, Imperial Edition 1903. Boards are dulled and lightly scuffed but clean, green cloth with gilt decoration and lettering to spine. Bumped spine ends, some rubbing wear and turning to  corners. The binding has a slight forward slope. Top and bottom edges of page-block are dusty and browned, fore-edge of page block is foxed. Hand cut deckled pages. (Some pages may remain uncut and would require careful hand cutting to avoid damage to pages). Name written in ink of previous owner to top of front fep (G Butterworth). Illustrated frontispieces and plates.  Front and rear paste-downs and  both fep\'s are foxed. The decorated front fly leaf and rear fly leaf are browned, end-papers and end-pages are tanned.  All pages are tanned with occasional spotting by foxing.
