Punch. Volume LXXXII. No.82 (1882)
\'Punch, or The London Charivari\' was a British weekly magazine of humour and satire established in 1841 by Henry Mayhew and wood-engraver Ebenezer Landells. Most influential in 1840s/50s when it helped to coin the term \"cartoon\" in its modern sense as a humorous illustration.  Used: embossed design to covers and spine title, cloth over board.  Covers discoloured by fade, spine a tan colour; gilt title still visible.  Gilt Mr. Punch on front cover in good health.  Spine crushed top and bottom.  Crushed corners.  Binding strong, pages intact, some foxing.
