This is a very rare 1827 first edition of Guthrie\'s Atlas. The spine is intact with some splitting inside and the covers show signs of much use with corners likewise. Originally, there were 31 maps however, England & Wales, Europe and the World are missing. Of the other 28 maps, a couple have tears but the rest are in good condition. This well used book gives a great insight into the world of 1827 - much of the USA is still shown as territories, much of Africa is as yet undiscovered and Australia is halved between New Holland and New South Wales. Overall, this is a fascinating book of historical geographical interest.
