The Three Eyes of Evil (First UK edition, 1973)
THE THREE EYES OF EVIL: First it was simply a grotesque discovery when the accident revealed that the young businessman, Michael Slade, was a bizarre freak: a man with three eyes. But the impact of what the freak meant to see with three eyes was even more macabre. For Slade, that shocking third eye was his entry into a strange new dimension of terror and adventure: a fearful new world that would wrap itself about him forever. . . EARTH\'S LAST FORTRESS: It looked like a perfectly innocent store front: a volunteer enrolment office for young idealists who wanted to help the desperate forces of a young democracy overseas to win their civil war. But it was all a trap. The war for which it brainwashed its deluded cannon-fodder was out of this world -- remote in time; remote in space -- and nobody would ever return alive. . . Overall, this book is in good condition. Hardbound in blue cloth with silver stamping on spine; the binding is slightly skewed and the cover has some very light shelf-wear. Dust jacket is a little yellowed, and original price has been clipped off and replaced by a pencilled-in price of £2.50. Edges of book block lightly foxed. Internally, the endpapers and first few pages are lightly foxed, but the rest of the pages are clean, white and undamaged throughout.
