A beautiful small leather bound volume containing some of the Poet Laureate Tennyson\'s works (contents pictured). This book is embossed on the cover with the emblem of the historic Girls\' Public Day School Company: this was a charitable organisation that aimed to fund affordable education for girls between 1872 and 1905. The inner cover has a certificate stating the book was presented to a student at Dulwich High School in 1883.The volume is in good condition considering its age, the marble edging is slightly faded and the cover is worn, some spotting on the first few pages. The text is clear and the binding is strong.
