Gilt page edges quite marked. Front hinge cracked but binding firm. Contemporary inscription in fountain pen on front paste-down, \"David S. Last In Memory of his Mother who died 6th Jan 1866\". Very heavy foxing to prelims and blank pages at rear of book, endpapers spotted. Despite this, the text pages are very clean and good with minimal spotting, very attractive on opening.
