An antiquarian volume discussing the history, inhabitants, businessmen and customers of Lombard Street and the Grasshopper, the family sign of Thomas Gresham who lived here in the 16th century and founded the nearby Royal Exchange.In good condition. Some previous owners\' stamps and inscriptions to flyleaf and title page. Plate of Thomas Gresham is present but loose. Rear flyleaf is beginning to come loose.
