1958 reprint of the revised and rewritten edition published in 1949. Lempriere\'s original version was first published in 1788. The new edition revised by F. A. Wright. Red cloth covered boards with gilt lettering on spine. Now somewhat faded but in sound condition other than some wear on the edges especially top and tail of spine. Internally there is a previous owner\'s name on front free endpaper. A little bit of light foxing on the endpapers front and back, but otherwise the pages are generally clean and free of marking.
