When Yanomamo: The Fierce People first appeared in 1968, it immediately became the most widely used study in the series of which it is a part. The second edition appeared in 1977. Its popularity has continued. Instructors of anthropology and students alike are intrigued with the character of the Yanomamo, their conflicts and how they resolve them, and the fact they yet resolve their tribal sovereignty.The book has been read, and there are minor signs of wear and age. There are some light pencil markings on a few of the pages. Otherwise it in good condition, and the spine is undamaged.
