Thoughts & Adventures/Step by Step
Published by Odhams Press in 1949, these are two volumes of Winston Churchill\'s reflections prior to the beginning of the 2nd World War. Originally published in 1939, \"Step By Step\" includes 82 newspaper articles focused on foreign affairs written by Churchill at the end of his \"wilderness years\" between March 1936 and May 1939. Many of them of course contain his warnings and predictions about Nazi Germany. By contrast, \"Thoughts and Adventures\" is more reflective, giving insight into the variety and depth of Churchill’s mature thoughts on the questions, facing modern society man in the early part of the 20th century. Both books bound in matching red cloth boards with gilt over black lettering to spine. Spines slightly sun-faded. Foxing to edges, but text blocks good and text clear and unmarked. 350, 246 pp
