The Grey City, a book of drawings of Edinburgh by Jessie M King. 24 drawings of different areas of Edinburgh. The drawings are beautifully detailed. First printed in 1910, this one has July 1914 printed inside. There is an inscription on the front end paper dated 1914.Thick card boards with a paper dust jacket which is grubby and worn around the edges (see photos). Inside, the pages are clean.The paper dust jacket has an art nouveau style watercolour of Edinburgh castle. Jessie M King was a Scottish artist, one of the ‘Glasgow Girls’ from the Glasgow school of art.
