Detmold. for 8 of Ma Maeterlinck\'s essays including Our City Gardens, The Intelligence of Flowers, The Life of the Bee, Perfumes, News of Spring, Field Flowers, Old fashioned Flowers and Chrysthanthemums. NB - Two illustrations Catasetum and Cypripediums (Frontis piece) and Chrysanthemums are missing.The fore edge and bottom edge are rough cut and there is light foxing to the front few pages, there should be 20 colour illustrations by Detmold. The cover shows signs of shelf wear but he binding is tight.
