The Illustrated London News July 4th 1936
The edition of the Illustrated London News is July 4th 1936 and is in good condition clean throughout (44 page journal) with two staples binding the journal which have rusted but are firm. Now a historical archive document in its own right it is of great general interest. Features include a Royal Air force display with “power and skill that enthralled”, Queen Victoria’s Foundation for her Servant’s children, “Personalities of the Week”, the King in Motor Torpedo boat No 1. The journal was within Wimbledon fortnight so there is a spread of the remaining men and women in the competition with for example Fred Perry and Miss Dorothy Round from Britain.
