An early edition, undated, but thought likely to be from the 1920s – the first edition was published by Newnes in May 1919. 251 pp, with two pages of advertisements at end. (The book advertised was published by Newnes in 1923). Hardback book in fair condition. Blue cloth covered boards with black decoration to front and spine. Cloth wrinkled and discoloured, spine darkened with tears and damage to backstrip. Front hinge cracked but board still well attached. Foxing to endpapers and occasionally in text which is otherwise in good condition.
