First edition, hardback Scottish publication, published in 1879 by E & S Livingstone.This book has dark green cloth covers with its title in gilt lettering. There are colour plates and black and white line drawings throughout. This small, 143 year old volume is a truly extraordinary find. The covers are slightly worn and marked, but internally, the book is in great condition. The plates are bright and clean and the pages are clean and tight. Amazing!
