This hardback book with dust jacket is the official centenary history of this famous shipping line. The dark blue volume has gilt lettering to the spine and the company\'s crest and logo, \"Per Mare Ubique\", meaning \"Everywhere by Sea\" in gilt on the front cover. There is some bumping to the corners and top and lower edge of spine but otherwise it is in very good condition. The dust jacket is in poor condition with an 8.5 x 15 cms piece missing from the lower half of the back, the lower 4.5 cms of the spine missing and a 4.5 x 2.5 cms piece missing from the front cover where it meets the spine at the lower edge. There is handling wear and small tears to the top and bottom all round. The Preface is dated 1939. The decorative endpapers are very smart.
