Dialectics of Nature, by Frederick Engels was published in the USSR and translated by Clemens Dutt. It is a dark blue hardback, with gilt lettering to the spine and front board, with no dust jacket. There is handling wear to the boards, but otherwise it is in good condition. There is a former owner\'s signature and green stamp on the ffep, together with a pencil description of the book saying this a first edition of this translation. The frontispiece is a b/w photograph of Engels. Both Marx and Engels paid close attention to the development of natural science and in this volume there are articles on natural science in the spirit world, tidal friction, heat, electricity, mathematics, mechanics, astronomy , physics, chemistry and biology among others.
