This Forge Backplate Handle has a classic Georgian handle shape with traditional rope style border trim. The sprung handle has a lasting finish and is lacquered to prevent discolouration during use. They are ideal for internal or external use as the handles have been tested for corrosion resistance and cycle tested beyond 70,000 uses. Backplate: 48 x 104mm. Supplied with screws and fitting instructions. Fitting Instructions:1. Place the spindle bar through an existing tubular latch or lock and position one handle over the spindle bar. Ensuring the handle is square, mark the srcew hole positions with a bradawl.2. Drill Ø2mm pilot holes and reposition the handle before securing using the wood screws provided.3. If fitting Bathroom handles, now insert the bathroom spindle bar through the deadbolt hole of the lock from the outside of the door and place the thumbturn onto the spindle bar. Tighten the grubscrew on the underside with the hex key provided.Designed to be used with any tubular mortice latch, a privacy lock is built into the handle for use in WC\'s or Bathrooms where no mortice lock is fitted. The exterior handle has a lock over-ride which can be opened with a coin or screwdriver.
