Queen Victoria was in her heyday when Walter Whittard set up shop in 1886, and the following year the country celebrated her Golden Jubilee. Walter was always developing new blends to suit his customers' tastes, so you can imagine him designing a tea just like this to mark the occasion: a smooth, rich black tea blended with sumptuous Madagascan vanilla and a right royal flourish of red, white and blue petals. There are few teas more suited to scones and clotted cream.   The Great Taste Awards have been described as the Oscars of the food world—so you can imagine we were pretty chuffed when our Regal Blend won a gold star at this year’s awards. The judges called it “A pretty mix with a lovely aroma to the dry blend.”
