Barbera is a prolific Italian grape variety grown in Piedmont and particularly around the towns of Alba and Asti. This Barbera d\'Alba is made by the excellent De Forville family using fruit from over 40 years old vines. Very concentrated dark fruits on the nose, with well integrated spices. This exhibits confected dark cherry fruits with hints of chocolate, cloves and vanilla. Well integrated and silky smooth finish. Meat dishes with grilled vegetables will complement this wine superbly.
