Domaine Gayda \'Chemin de Moscou\' 2018/19, Pays d\'Oc
Chemin de Moscou gained its unusual name from a tree near Domaine Gayda that was a meeting point for soldiers returning from the Franco-Prussian war. Aged for 21 months, this organic, multi-regional blend of low-yield Syrah, Grenache and Cinsault is startlingly good. The 2017 vintage was not only awarded 93 points by Decanter Magazine, but also won Gold and Best French Organic Red Wine at Mundis Vini. Deep purple, it has expressive notes of black fruits, pepper, cinnamon, spice and violets, open tannins and a long finish.
