Château de Malleret 2012, Haut-Médoc
Just 14 Bordeaux estates were classified as cru bourgeois exceptionnel in 2020, and Château de Malleret was one of them. It has three centuries of rich history, a beautiful exterior and, surprisingly, offers fantastic claret at a modest price. This is a full and ripe Cabernet-heavy blend, with notes of blackcurrant, tobacco and liquorice. Great with a casserole.
