Fincher & Co is a collaborative project between Master of Wine Liam Steevenson and Ben Glover. Liam is an ex-Majestic employee and was the world’s youngest Master of Wine. Ben is the man behind Wither Hills and Mud House, so he knows a thing or two about crafting exceptional Sauvignon. As you’d expect, the work of the two is something special. It’s made at their boutique winery in the Wairau Valley, where a maritime influence encourages the slow ripening of grapes, intensifying flavours. It’s crisp and zesty, with flavours of gooseberry, grapefruit, fresh grass and green apple. Its aromatics work very well with Thai green curry, topped with coriander leaves.
