Franciacorta is Italy\'s answer to Champagne. And when you choose well, you can find a real bargain. This one is made with the same second-fermentation method applied in the prestigious French region and, crucially, aged for at least two years on its texture-imparting lees. This patience results in plenty of those rich flavours of biscuit and bread that make sparkling wine truly opulent. Expect a creamy straw-yellow wine, with a persistent, soft mousse and aromas of citrus, white peach, apple and pear.
