Emiliana ‘Mr Wildman’ Carménère, Colchagua Valley
Carménère was officially recognised as a grape variety in Chile just over 20 years ago. Although it originated in Bordeaux, it is wines like Emiliana ‘Mister Wildman’ that show just why Chile is so often the place to look for top-quality expressions of the grape. This wine was made by a producer named Winery of the Year in 2016 by Wines of Chile. Expect flavours of blackberry, red berry, green pepper and spice. Try it with roast lamb.
